Haul Time – Crazzzzzyyyyy & back to the world again!!

Its been a long long time since there has anything being shared or reviewed here. The last year has been very tough year for me emotionally & physically. However now I am back and trying to make things normal again. And the first thing that I have done to make life normal was to take a vacation. And when there is vacation there is relaxing & of course shopping !!!! If you follow me on Instagram you would probably know the beauty shopping that has taken place in the last 3-4 weeks.

I travelled to London last month & it was perfect tie to be there. The weather was so good. London has so much to offer when it comes to beauty, the high end brands as well as the best of the drugstore brands which are not available in India. Rimmel Colour Show Off Lipstick-Pink Gossip(110) review & swatches

I have been searching for a nice bubbly pink color lipstick with matte finish.I tried quite a few including Makeup Revolution Lip Salvation but finally my search ended when I got this beauty in my hands!

PRICE: rs.415

PACKAGING:The packaging is a steal.It comes in a bright poppy pink colored metallic outer cover which is catchy and very attractive.The packaging screams fun.It is sturdy and travel friendly.Also,it is easy to find it in vanity as it is very different form usual black colored outer coverings.

SHADE:Pink Gossip is a gorgeous,girly bright and poppy shade of bubble gum pink with fine golden shimmer which is not so visible on lips.It is not very neon or bright that it will look OTT nor it is very muted and understated.The shade is very girly and can be paired with many looks.I would call this a Summer shade!!

MY VIEWS:The lipstick a creamy texture .It glides on easily without any tugging or pulling.The shimmer present in the lipstick is really subdued and non-gritty.It is visible in swatch but not on lips.The formula is light weight and very comfortable on lips.It has semi matte velvety texture that is nice.

I wouldn’t call it hydrating or very moisturising but it isn’t drying as well.It can accentuate dry flaky skin on lips and settle in the lip lines so proper  exfoliation is very necessary.It stays for about 2-3 hours on lips fading evenly.The shade does leave a mild pink stain on lips.It is decently pigmented and 2 swipes will provide full coverage.The shade is such that it will suit all skin tones but the brightness and the intensity of the shade varies across skin tones.

One major con of this range is that it is highly fragranced-some fruity fragrance and many girls don’t like it.Other than that,it is an amazing lipcolor.

RECOMMENDATION:Since the day I got this lipstick,I have been wearing it on and off which clearly shows how much I love the shade and the formula.I highly recommend trying this and other shades from the range.These are cute,having nice formula nd available at a decent price.

So,We have 5 gorgeous Rimmel Apocalips with us today!!These are superb.The shades,quality and the formula is top notch.

PACKAGING:A tube of black and the color of the lip lacquer with the words APOCALIPS written in bold letter contain the product. A doe-foot wand applicator makes it easy to apply it over my lips.

Light Year: A lovely everyday wear nude brown with a hint of pink.It has really subtle shimmer that adds shine to the shade.

Celestial: A pretty mauve-pink.It is creamy and a really nice shade to add some colour to the face.

Apocaliptic: A gorgeous bright fuchsia.A statement lip colour!!

Solstice: A slightly frosty light mauve with brown undertones and slight shimmer.It is a warm shade and very wearable(everyday-office wear)

Big Bang: A stunning bright tomato red that is a showstopper shade.It very bright and a statement lip colour.

Rimmel London Apocalips Lip Lacquers are a hybrid lip product which combines the pigmentation of lipstick and texture of lip gloss. These lip lacquers are intensely bold, pigmented and are not for the faint hearted!

ABOUT:It’s the End of Colour as you know it!
The intense rich colour of a lipstick, enhanced by a satin-smooth shine. It’s neither a lipstick nor a gloss… It’s BIGGER than both!

PRICE:7.62$ or around rs.650.

PACKAGING: It comes in a tube packaging and has a wand with a sponge tip similar to lip gloss packaging. Applicator picks and spreads the product easily.

The applicator has a little well in the centre that collects the product so you can apply it with only one or two dips.

 

SHADE:Nova is a bright blue based pink.It is such a  shade that will come out differently on all skin tones.On me,it looks like blue based mauve and it accentuates my olive undertones  a lot.

MY VIEWS: The formula is non-sticky, incredibly feather light, silky smooth, packs a punch of colour and uber pigmented to the point where one light-handed swipe will achieve a completely opaque and ultra glossy finish! They are luscious creamy, very comfortable to wear and super hydrating at the same time. Though, I find the scent quite unpleasant and reminiscent of plastic and chemical but it disappears after a while.

Once set, it doesn’t transfer much. It stays on me for good 4 hours with meal in between. Though after meals it fades a bit. It doesn’t feel uncomfortable but yes you might need to reapply it after 2 hours, since the color gets bit uneven.

RATING: 3.5/5

RECOMMENDATION: I really like the formula,finish and feel but the shade washes out my skin tone a bit.Other than that,I love it and would definitely try other shades from the range.

 

 

 

Rimmel London Kate Lasting Finish Lipstick- 20 review,swatches

MORE is LESS- So apt for these kate moss lipsticks!!!

SHADE:  #20 is a bright fuchsia pink.I love fuchsia and this one is a great addition to my collection.It is a stunner and looks all the more adorable in matte black casing.

MY VIEWS:The texture of the lipstick is creamy and it glides on smoothly on lips without any tugging.It has a semi-matte finish which is slightly drying but feels comfortable on lips. I like the way it feels on my lips. However,after few hours of application,my lips feel dry and I have to put lip balm.The lipstick is sans any shimmer or sheen..it is just matte ,creamy -matte!!

It stays for 5 hours.The shade is pigmented enough to cover lip pigmentation very well.Also,it comes out easily with a cleanser without leaving any stain on lips. However,as said it might look streaky on darker skin as it is cool toned.

It has a mild fragrance that is pleasant and fades after application.

This range and particularly this shade was so on my wish list and I am so happy with the quality as well.

SHADE: shade #16 is a  gorgeous coral pink.It is slight neon on lips and might wash out dark skin tones.On my nc35,it is comfortable enough to carry.

I am very delighted to have this beauty with me.Being a Red lover,this shade is a pleasant surprise as it is a total package-Amazing formula,stunning shade,budget friendly!!

Rimmel London Lasting Finish Soft Colour Mono Blush Live Pink(050) Review & Swatches

My very first blush from Rimmel London that has left me wanting to try more.An absolute stunning product…Have you tried it?????

ABOUT:Soft texture glides on smoothly and blends evenly for a natural sheer finish. This long lasting powder gives you a natural looking colour for up to 6 hours. Comfortable formula, Streak and smudge resistant! Dermatologist tested, Fragrance free.

PRICE: £ 3.99 for 4 gm.

PACKAGING:The packaging is cute with a small square body having a transparent see through lid that helps in finding the shade easily.I live the Flag texture of the blush.It is sturdy and travel friendly.

SHADE:The shade Live pink is a gorgeous light pink with golden sheen.It provides natural flush to cheeks and looks really pretty.

TEXTURE,FINISH & STAYING POWER:The texture of the blush is smooth and non-gritty.It has golden sheen to it rather than golden shimmer that gives slight highlighting effect.I find it a  bit powdery on swatching but it blends beautifully on cheeks.It doesn’t clog pores neither accentuate them.

Live pink is a pretty light pink that can be worn to office as it is very subtly and imparts slight glow to cheeks, It is not overly pigmented and 2 swipes can give good amount of shade.I like my blushes to have light pigmentation (not poorly pigmented!!! 😀 )as I like layering them.The one that are highly pigmented have to be used carefully and can be easily overdone.

It stays for about 4-5 hours after which it starts fading.

PROS:

• Smooth and soft texture.
• doesn’t clog pores.
• provides slight highlighting effect on cheeks.
• can be worn to office as well.
• reasonably priced.
• decently pigmented.
• decent staying power for the shade it is.
• packaging is sweet.
• blends beautifully.

 

CONS:

• the staying power could be a bit more.
• not easily available.
• the texture is chalky on swatching.

RATING: 4/5

RECOMMENDATION: I love the blush,the shade,the packaging and everything in this cute product.It is one of my most used blushes these days.I highly recommend this to everyone as it can be used with any look and will suit everyone.
