Haul Time – Crazzzzzyyyyy & back to the world again!!

Its been a long long time since there has anything being shared or reviewed here. The last year has been very tough year for me emotionally & physically. However now I am back and trying to make things normal again. And the first thing that I have done to make life normal was to take a vacation. And when there is vacation there is relaxing & of course shopping !!!! If you follow me on Instagram you would probably know the beauty shopping that has taken place in the last 3-4 weeks.

I travelled to London last month & it was perfect tie to be there. The weather was so good. London has so much to offer when it comes to beauty, the high end brands as well as the best of the drugstore brands which are not available in India. Sleek Makeup Oh So Special Eyeshadow Palette Review, Swatches

So,I was going through the blog posts to check out my own review of Sleek Oh So Special when I realised that I haven’t reviewed this beauty.A palette that has a SPECIAL place in my vanity.Here’s the review of the same:

PRICE: $11.99 but shipping and custom levy heavy charges(double the amount 😦 )

PACKAGING:  Sleek palettes have a matte black outer body with “Sleek Makeup” embossed on the flap.Inside,a transparent plastic sheet is provided with names of the shadows written on it.The packaging is sturdy to certain extent as it survived some falls but later,one of my shadow broke(in the earlier palette).A dual ended sponge applicator is also provided that is hardly of any use.

SHADES:

  I have taken this pic from google for reference purpose as I have lost my transparent sheet which had the names.

Bow: A very light white-skin colored shade.I wont call it white to the fullest. Good to be used on brow bone for matte eye makeup look. It is a bit chalky shade.

Organza: Shimmer Light Pink.It is frosted.Nicely pigmented and blends easily.It has minor fallout.

Ribbon: Matte Pink. Its a very buildable color.The shade is slightly chalky but nice to work out for cue,girly looks.

Gift Basket: Shimmer browny bronze.A gorgeous shade for day looks when you want a hint of shimmer but it should not look OTT.Pigmented!!

Glitz: shimmer metallic blue.An awesome shade for blue smokey looks and for blending deep navy blue shade in the crease.Nicely pigmented.Least fallout.

Celebrate: shimmer Deep purple.A very sultry shade.It is one of those shades that don’t need to paired with for a smokey look.Just apply it and blend it in the crease for uber hot look.The shade is amazingly pigmented.

Pamper: matte pastel pink.It is slightly lighter than Ribbon but a very cute shade.The shade is slightly chalky but works well over a primer.

Gateau: Duochrome pink-purple with golden.I can’t explain how much I adore this shade and use this everytime and I am using this palette.The shade is pretty,classy,chic,stunning and everything I can use to describe it.The duochrome golden effect adds to the beauty.The shade can be used as an all over lid shade or to highlight the browbone and inner corners of the eyes.Amazingly pigmented,barely there fallout.

The Mail: Matte Tan.The shade might look useless at first but mind it,this is used every time for my looks as it is a great transition shade.

Boxed: Matte Brown.Nice crease shade for smokey looks as well as my only shade that I use for defining my brows.

Wrapped Up: Matte Browny Purple.Nice shade for day wear.It is slightly dry in texture.

Noir: Matte Black.The blackest black shadow I have ever used!!! Cant do anything without this shade!!

MY VIEWS: All the shades are different in terms of intensity,finish and staying power but the palette is very useful when U need one product for day to night time looks.It serves all the purpose;be it smokey look,spring look,chic look,sultry look,subtle looks,everyday wear look,no-makeup look as the shades are so versatile.

I recently did a smokey look using Noir,Gateau,The Mail,Boxed from the palette.Here’s the outcome:

All the shades are nicely pigmented.Staying power is around 7-8 hours over a good primer.I have never encountered a problem of creasing or fading with these shades.I have used this palette in numerously and continue to use it again and again.

RECOMMENDATION:There’s absolutely nothing that I don’t like about this palette.I had lost mine but got a new one ASAP as I cannot do anything without this gorgeous beauty.I have recommended this to so many girls and they are ever so happy with the palette.Highly recommend checking this out!!!

PACKAGING:The packaging is quite sleek as per the brands name.It is definitely sturdy as the palette has survived quite a lot of time despite falling.However,major damage takes place during transit.2 of the shades broke.One sponge applicator is also provided that does comes handy during emergencies.

THE PALETTE:The palette features a mix of cool and warm-toned shades ranging from neutrals to purples and burgundies.It does stand on its name as many romantic,soft looks can be created using this beauty.

Pretty in Paris: is a bright, light silver with a frosted, metallic finish.Good color payoff

Meet in Madrid: is a medium, slightly subdued, gold with orange and yellow undertones and a frosted sheen.Nicely pigmented.

Court in Cannes: is a medium, warm-toned brown with a golden sheen and frosted finish. It had nice color payoff.

Lust in LA: is a dark, chocolate brown with warm, reddish-orange undertones and a frosted finish. It had excellent pigmentation and applied very smoothly.

Romance in Rome: is a cool-toned, medium-dark purple with a frosted finish.It is slightly on the drier side but color payoff is good.

Propose in Prague: is a medium-dark brown with warm, reddish-orange undertones and a matte finish.The texture isn’t too smooth but pay off is good.

A Vow in Venice: is a medium-dark berry with warm undertones and a soft, frosted finish.Smooth and pigmented.

Marry in Monte Carlo: is a bright, medium-dark fuchsia-berry with a frosted finish.Nicely pigmented.

Honeymoon in Hollywood: is a rich, deep berry wine with a satin finish and a bit of silver sparkle and cool undertones.It is decently pigmented but the texture is slightly stiff so blending gets difficult.

Bliss in Barcelona: is a medium-dark, cool-toned violet purple with a frosted finish. It has good color payoff.

Forever in Florence: is a dark, burgundy with cool, red undertones and a mostly matte finish.Provides semi-opaque coverage.

Love in London :is a medium black with a satin finish.However,on application and blending,it becomes grey.

Overall,it is a nice palette:The texture of all the shades are different.Some are smooth and creamy while some may be slightly on the drier side.However,all the shades are gorgeous and easy to work with.They stay for maximum 6-7 hours over a good base.I did see some creasing when I skipped the primer.

RECOMMENDATION:Sleek is one brand whom I trust blindedly when it comes to eyeshadows.This palette,again is a great one but it could have been a little more better had the black been intense black and all the shades were smooth.

1. A gorgeous copper golden shade.

2.pearly white shade which can be used for highlighting.

3. a light matte brown for brow bone.

4.A pretty beige gold.

5.a pearly pink.It is gorgeous but has slight fallout.

6.Cranberry.

7.A gorgeous copper shade.

9.Forest green.

10.Deep blue but it has fallout.

11.Dark brown shade.

12. A matte black.

They have soft and creamy texture which allows the shadows to blend like a dream but minimal fall out can occur when you use the darker shades.All the shades are highly pigmented.They stay for about 5-6 hours over a good primer.

RECOMMENDATION:I am  a huge fan of Sleek palettes as they offer amazing shades and the quality is also great.However,these have to be ordered online.

Sleek Makeup Au Naturel Palette review & swatches

ABOUT:Sleek MakeUP’s Nude collection wraps up your autumn beauty look in one warm, earthy and wearable collection. PACKAGING:The packaging is simple,fuss free and classy with a matte black rectangular body.However,it is prone t breakage.A plastic flap is placed over the shades with individual shade name written on it.A duo ended sponge applicator is provided which comes handy during emergencies.

SHADES:The Au Naturel palette is a blend of muted and rich warm colors like the autumn. The purple, fawn and various shades of brown in this palette depict the brilliant hues in autumn leaves. The top row of shades are all pretty muted mattes, except Taupe which is shimmery.The bottom row has darker shades which are more pigmented.

MY VIEWS:The shades are smooth in texture but the ones in the upper row are very sheer,un pigmented and need several layers to show up.The bottom row has darker and pigmented shades but repetition of brown makes it dull.

This is more of a matte shades palette. Staying power is around 5-6 hours with a proper base underneath.However,the blend well.

PROS:

• matte shades great fro daily wear.
• the shades are soft.
• the palette is reasonable.
• All the shades blend well.
• Stay for about 5-6 hours. 

 

CONS:

• The upper row is very sheer.
• The bottom row has mainly browns.
• The palette has to be ordered online.

 

RATING: 3/5

RECOMMENDATION: I like this palette but I ma not completely wowed by this as it has more mattes and sheer shades.However,if you like matte shades then you should definitely check this out!!!
