Haul Time – Crazzzzzyyyyy & back to the world again!!

Its been a long long time since there has anything being shared or reviewed here. The last year has been very tough year for me emotionally & physically. However now I am back and trying to make things normal again. And the first thing that I have done to make life normal was to take a vacation. And when there is vacation there is relaxing & of course shopping !!!! If you follow me on Instagram you would probably know the beauty shopping that has taken place in the last 3-4 weeks.

I travelled to London last month & it was perfect tie to be there. The weather was so good. London has so much to offer when it comes to beauty, the high end brands as well as the best of the drugstore brands which are not available in India. NYX Loose Powder Black Pearl Eyeshadow Review & Swatches

PACKAGING:The packaging is really cute.The  powder has a tiny small plastic packaging which is transparent so you can see the amount that is used.The packaging is sturdy but it won’t say it is travel friendly as whenever I open the cap,it always has fallout.Also,it is not so user-friendly as I need to take out the product and then use it as against dipping the brush inside the tub since the mouth of the packaging is very small.

SHADE:Black pearl is shimmery black loose pigment powder.

MY VIEWS:The loose powder is finely milled and is easy to apply and blend.It does has fallout but if I tap the brush,then the residue doesn’t come .The shade blends really well and is easy to work out with.

As far as the richness of the shade is concerned,I would call is a rich deep black as my Sleek oh so special has a better black shade than this one.Black pearl is a shade somewhere between Black and charcoal grey.The shade is shimmery but it isn’t gritty.

Black pearl comes out a bit sheer in one swipe which can be intensified as per need.Its stays for good 7-8 hours which any fading or smudging when used over a primer.The shade is water-resistant and can be used dry as well as wet.

RECOMMENDATION:I am using this pigment powder these days as it is a change from regular black eyeshadows.Also,for a soft smoky look,this shade is apt.

SHADE:Peach Cobbler is a gorgeous,juicy bright apricot shade that I love wearing.I am loving this shade.A perfect one for me.It brightens up my face and adds a nice glow.

MY VIEWS: The texture of the gloss is heavenly smooth.It definitely feels butter on lips as it makes my lips supple.The shade glides on easily .It isn’t very thick nor very runny in consistency.I feel it’s very gel-like.The formula is creamy ,hydrating and even if I have dry,flaky lips,it moisturises them.The gloss is non-sticky and very comfortable on lips.I love wearing it and the  formula is simply great.

 

 

It stays for about 3 hours on my lips fading evenly.The gloss doesn’t leave any stain or tint behind.It is decently pigmented providing medium to buildable coverage.The shade will suit all skin tones.The gloss has a very pleasant caramel fragrance that is great.

RECOMMENDATION:I so love everything about this gloss.The shade is my fav!!!The formula and the feel of the gloss is imply amazing.The only grudge is the availability.Other than this,it’s a must have!!!

PACKAGING: The gloss comes in a transparent circular tube with a  black cap.It has a sturdy doe-foot sponge applicator which ease in uniform application.

SHADE:Pinky Natural is a very pretty everyday wear subtle pink with mauve undertones.I like the shade as it can be paired with many looks and is great for office wear too.

MY VIEWS:The formula is very lightweight and comfortable to wear.It is smooth and glides on easily.The gloss has a moisturizing formula and leaves my lips supple after it wears off.The applicator helps in application and it doesn’t bleed on over application.The shade itself is decently pigmented and one swipe provides medium coverage which can be built upto fuller coverage.It stays for about 3 hours on me which is average.

RATING: 4/5

RECOMMENDATION: I like the gloss as the formula and texture is great.It is light weight and very comfortable and the main plus point is that it can be worn on many occasions and with almost every look.A must have shade!!

SHADE:I got the shade HDF07 (warm sand),however this shade is very dark for my NC37 skin tone.For me,HDF03(Natural) is a perfect shade.The odd number shades have yellow undertones.Sand Beige also has yellow undertones but it is meant for NC 42 skin tone.I wanted to get my hands on this foundation but my shade was not available.I got this from my friend and I mix Bourjois CC cream to get my shade.

MY VIEWS: Let me tell you,I had no thoughts on buying this foundation.I wanted MUFE foundation and I went to try it out but the formula of MUFE did not suit me,I felt that it was patchy though it photographed really well and my face became very greasy after 2 hours of wear(from MUFE).Then after a lot of googling,I found that NYX HD is a great dupe for MUFE.I did a lil bit of search on this and whoila,nyx is more preferred than MUFE and many girls faced the same problem that I did.

But now,the main issue was to get my shade,Our Indian E-shopping sites do have NYX HD foundation but almost all the shades are out of stock and my shade was not even there.So,a friend of mine had this Warm Sand with her and without even a second of thinking,I bought it from her as I wanted to check the formula.

The shade is darker for me but I mix Bourjois CC cream which is a shade lighter for me to get my perfect shade.The first thing I noticed when I tried this foundation was the consistency and how easily it spreads on my face.Believe me,I have never been able to apply any foundation with my fingers (I find it unhygienic and I can’t just blend) but this foundation made me do that.I just even out it with a sponge in the end.The consistency is not at all thick,it isn’t runny but more on liquidy side.The foundation spreads easily providing medium to full coverage,for major skin problems you need a good concealing.

In the before/After pic,I have only one layer on my face and it covers my unevenness,redness,light blemishes very well.I can easily use another layer for added coverage.The foundation feels very light weight and comfortable on skin.It doesnt transfer onto other objects once set with a finishing powder.I have never felt that it looked cakey or creased after 6-7 hours.It photographs really well providing a soft dewy focus which looks natural.

RECOMMENDATION:I love love love this foundation t the core.It was so desperate to grab this and I am so happy and satisfied to own this now.I will try to get my shade as I am definitely going to repurchase it.It is far cheaper than MUFE (rs.3200) .It is perfect fo photography and gives flawless,natural look.Highly recommended!!!!!

 

 

NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream In Tokyo Review & Swatches

PACKAGING:The NYX Soft Matte Lip Creams come packaged in a typical lip gloss tube and have a traditional doe-foot applicator, which I prefer for liquid-y lip products. The first thing I noticed upon applying these, is the delicious smell that is they are vanilla fragranced.

SHADE: TOKYO is a soft, bubblegum pink. Great nude for fair-light skin tones.

MY VIEWS:The lip cream applies well.Since,it dries up to a matte finish,it can accentuate flaky lips so lip exfoliation is very necessary.It glides easily and the color payoff is well which intensifies a bit after it dries up.The staying power is around 3-4 hours.I sometimes use this shade underneath glossy lipsticks that are sheer as they appear more pigmented over this shade.This shade suits fair skinned girls the best.But the shades washes me out terribly!!

RECOMMENDATION:TOKYO is a decent shade that will look great with smoky eyes.It has a beautiful matte finish which is comfortable.However,it has to be ordered online and will suit fair skinned tones only.

NYX Cream blush-Hot Pink review & swatches

PRICE: 6$ OR around rs.650 in India.

PACKAGING: The packaging is simple and sturdy with a black round pan packaging having a transparent lid .The shade name is provided at the back.

THE SHADE:  Hot Pink is a pretty barbie pink shade.It looks really bold in the pan and on swatching but when blended out,the shade is so amazing and adds ‘pinky pinky’ flush to cheeks.

I have used this as a lip color also and it looks amazing.Only problem is that this shade is cool tone so it will look slightly streaky on darker, olive skin tone.And this is a perfect dupe for Bourjois Rouge edition lipcolor 12(rose neon) just that rose neon is slightly more vibrant on lips.

NYX Cream Blush Glow review & swatches

I love cream blushes as they provide a gorgeous dewy glow and have great array of yummy shades but at the same time I find them hard to apply and blend as they take time.However,these NYX cream blushes are hard to resist and this particular shade is most raved one!!!
