I love wearing bold shades of corals,reds,pinks but we do need subtle shades for everyday wear.I have a few shades with me that can be used for subtle looks as well as for intense looks as these lip colors looks great when complemented with smoky looks.
Below I have listed 4 such shades of Pinks-Mauves that fit in different price range.
1) Bourjois Shine Edition Lipstick Rose XOXO(rs.990 for 3 gms):Rose xoxo is a beautiful pearly mauve pink with silver shimmer in it.It is sheer but buildable.
The lipstick is very hydrating. The formula provides glossy finish to lips and gel-like feel, is lightweight and doesn’t settle in the lip lines.The finish is semi-sheer.The shade is sheer but buildable to medium coverage with 2-3 swipes.However,it cannot provide full coverage as the shade is light.It stays for about 3-4 hours on my lips.
2)Elizabeth Arden Beautiful Color Lipstick-Sweet Pink(Rs.1720 for 3.5gms):Sweet Pink is really sweet indeed.It is a nude-brown pink shade.I really like this shade for it being subtle and not washing away from skin color at the same time.I love the classy packaging as well.
The lipstick has a very soft and creamy formula providing semi-glossy finish that gives a healthy appearance to lips. It is very hydrating and moisturising.It feels lightweight and comfortable on lips.The shade is light and provides sheer to light amount of shade to lips.It is opaque in its own but being a lighter shade,it wont be able to cover lip pigmentation.Th is shade will mostly suit fair to wheatish complexion.Staying power is 4-5.5 hours.
3)Maybelline Watershine Pure Lipcolor B24(rs.230):B24 is a very pretty light baby pink with a tiniest hint of peach.It is more of a pink and looks really subtle on lips.My lips do feel watery when I apply this :p
The lipstick has more of a balmy formula.It is very smooth on texture and glides on easily.The formula is hydrating very moisturising.It is great for those with chapped lips.The shade being pink and having a balmy texture is quite sheer but buildable to medium pigmentation.It is a great shade for everyday wear and subtle looks.It stays for about 2 hours maximum which is quite low but the lips stay hydrated.
4)Oriflame Wonder Colour Lipstick-Pink Nude(rs.349 for 4gm): Pink Nude is the most gorgeous shade of all.I simply adore this shade.It is a mauvy nude shade that will work on all skin tones.
The texture is amazing.It is balmy and very comfortable on lips.A great shade for everyday wear.It stays for about 3 hours providing light to medium coverage.Full review will be up soon!!
