Smoky Warm-Cool Eye makeup tutorial

I love smokey eye makeup.It adds a lot of drama and intensity to the eye look.Previously,I have done tutes on is a smokey looks but they are generally mono shade ones.This time,I was playing with Lord n Berry eye pigment and came up with this look.It is a combination of warmer and cooler tones and I loved the effect.

Here is the Step by Step tutorial of the same:

1).Apply Kajal on he lids below the crease on prepped and primed lids.Applying a primer is quite helpful as it prevents the black from creasing and fading.You don’t have to be neat or precise.

 2).Smudge the kajal’s line.Not the main intense area but kind of softening the edges.

 3).Apply black eye shadow in the crease and in the area that you blended the kajal in.

 4).Smoke out the black eye shadow blending it upwards.Take it higher just leaving space for the brow bone highlight.

5).Apply a shimmery shade blend out the harsh edges and highlighting the brow bone.6).Now apply a golden brown pigment in the center of the lids and blend out the harsh edges.Make sure that you apply it quite heavily as the tends to loose its intensity after a while.Also,apply the black eye shadow in the lower lash line as well.

7).Now,use a silver-white cool toned pigment to highlight the inner corners of the eyes as well as for highlighting the brow bone.Define the brows.

8).Apply a thick layer line of kohl on the lids and smoke it a bit by smudging it with a brush.Line your waterline.Apply oodles of mascara.

 

 

 

This look requires minimal products and hardly takes 5-7 minutes.

I really enjoyed this look as I haven’t tried such  a combination before.The smoked out kohl gives a very sultry look the eyes.Have you tried pairing warmer and cooler toned eye shadows?

Colorful Pink & Green Eye Makeup Look-Step by Step Tutorial

I generally prefer soft subtle neutral toned looks or intense smoky brown-black tones.I have been using Black,Blue,Browns more than any other shade so this time I thought of trying something different and using 2 unusual shades(for me :p).Here’s the look I achieved.
 Steps are as follows:

1) Prep and prime your lids.

2) Apply a matte brown shade in the crease and outer corner of the eye.This helps in blending other shades properly.

3)Apply a medium pink shade over the crease and blend it with the brown shade.

4)Now,apply a green shade in the outer corner of the eyes over the brown shade..The tint of green depends upon your choice.It can be bright or soft.But try to keep it warm toned.I took a medium bottle green shade.

5)Now,blend the green with the pink in the crease using the same brown shade.It will intensify the crease as well.

6)Drag the same brown shade under the lower lash line and blend the brown with the pink shade.

7) Apply a shimmery nude beige shade int he inner 2/3rd eye.Also,apply loose glitter or you favorite highlighter to highlight the inner corners of the eyes as well as the browbone.

8) Apply a thick winged liner,I  went ahead and pulled the liner a bit downwards to make the eyes look bigger.Applied a nude kohl in the waterline and mascara.

Smokey Black Eye Look Tutorial-Step By Step

So,this is a requested look from my friend Shreya.I created this look using Sleek Oh So Special Palette only.The look is really easy and hardly takes 5 minutes to be done .However,you need to be careful as it gets messed up very easily.

 Let’s Start Up:

1)Prep and Prime your eyes.Along with concealing,primer is also very important to keep the shadows in place and prevent them from creasing.

2)Apply kajal on the lids.No need to be clean or precise.

3)Smudge the edges of the kajal that you applied.Smudge it only to extend it towards the crease.

4)Now,apply a matte brown shade int he crease over the smudged kajal.

5)Highlight your brow bone.

6)Blend the highlight shade with the brown shade in the crease.

7)Now,using the same matte brown shade,darken the lower outer corner of the eyes while keeping it blending with the upper outer corner of the eye. 

8)Make that area more intense using mate black shadow over the brown.This way creates a definition and shadow effect.

9)Tightline your lower and upper waterline.Define your brows.Also,highlight the inner corner of the eye using the same shade applied in the brow bone.This makes the eyes open up and brighten up. 

10) Apply a winged liner & add Oodles of mascara.Here,I extended the liner in the inner corner of the eye just the way you do in a cat liner to give a more crisp,brighter and bigger look to the eyes.

It’s DONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Easy Peasy Smokey look with a touch of Glitter!!

So,here’s a much awaited look for my dear friend Geetika.She wanted to do a smokey look with some peach in it.So,I went ahead and created a look using peach,black and  a bit of pink glitter.

It is super easy to do and takes about 5 minutes!!

Here are the steps :

1)Prep and prime your lids.Apply a soft medium brown in the crease blending it.

2)Now,apply your blackest black kohl or kajal that doesn’t crease.Be sure that the kajal is not too emollient.Apply it on lids from the rim till the crease.

Blend,blend and blend it them to get away from any harsh lines.

3)Now,take a black eyehadow.It is solely up to you for the kind of black shadow you want to use.It wanted a bit of shimmer so I went for that.You can go for matte black as well.Apply the black shadow on the smudged kohl.Dont swipe it across.Rather,pat pat pat to build the intensity.

 Now,you can go ahead and blend the black and the brown slightly in the crease to get and even look.

4) Apply your favorite peach eyeshadow.I used a peachy gold shadow to highlight the browbone and the inner corners of the eyes.Blend the peach shadow with the brown in the crease as well.

Apply kohl in the waterline.I skipped the liner here but you can apply it if you like.Applied the same black in the lower lid and smudged it with the brown shadow.Applied mascara.

Now,to add glam to the look,I applied a bit of pink glitter in the inner corners of the yes and blended the edges to get an even look.I used a glitter liner for this purpose.

Romantic look feat. Sleek Vintage Romance Palette-Step by Step tutorial

These days,I am so digging into elaborated eye makeup looks.I have a few palettes with me and have been testing them for quite a while.This look,I created with a few of Sleek Vintage Romance Palette.The palette has a nice mix of colors that can be used for subtle as well as intense looks.

1. Prep and prime your lid.
2. Apply a soft brown(Propose in Prague) shade in the crease and blend it in there for a clean look.
3. Now,apply a blue-purple(Romance in Rome) shade in the outer corner of the lid.
4. Apply a jewel toned purple(Bliss in Barcelona) at the outer edge of the eye blending it with the blue-purple shade.You dont need to blend the shades much as the brown in the creases makes the look blended.
5. Apply a shimmery golden brown(Court in Cannes) in the inner corner of the eye.
6. Now,apply a berry wine shade(Honeymoon in Hollywood)) in the area that is left out.Blend the shade with the lighter shade.
7. Highlight your eyes using a golden shadow(Meet in Madrid).Also,use the same shade to highlight the inner corner of the eyes.Apply purple shade in the lower lid and blend the shade using the blue-purple shade. 
8. Define your brows.Apply a white kohl instead of black to make the look less intense.Using White kohl make the eyes look awake,brighter and slightly more bigger.Apply loads of mascara.Line your eyes with medium thickness winged liner.

Smoked Pink-Valentine’s Day Eye makeup look!!

So,Valentines Day is here and I decided to do a makeup look using Pink and purple.The shades are such that they themselves add a romantic touch to any look.Here’s the tutorial of the look:

1) Prep and prime your lids.

 

2)Apply a white base on your lids just till crease.Here,I used a white kohl pencil,You can use a white paint pot or nyx jumbo milk pencil.I softened the edges to make it look neat and blended. 

 

3)Now,I applied a taupey brown shade in the crease.I used this shade as it has a slight tint of purple to it which will make the look more blended and even. 

 

4)Now,I used a deep purple shade and applied it in the crease over the taupe shade and blending it upwards.I used the same shade and applied it int he outer corner of the lid as shown in the pic below. 

 

5)Now,I highlighted my brow bone using  a shimmery golden shadow. 

6)In this step,I applied a gorgeous pink shadow with minute golden shimmer in it on my lids.I di not blend it much with the purple as the taupe shade applied in the crease kept the look remain blended.

7)Now,I applied a matte black shade in the outer corner of the lids where I had applied purple as well and extended the black shade bringing it in the low outer lids as well.

 

8)Applied the golden highlight shadow in the inner corners of the eyes. 

9)Defined my brows,applied liner(winged),used a white kohl to kept it feminine.Added loads of mascara.I wanted to use artificial lashes as well to make the look more dense but my lash glue has dried.

The final look :

Wear this look with highlighted cheeks and soft pink lipcolor and you are all set to go for the date!!

Soft smokey eye look with a twist of Blue-Step by Step tutorial

I am digging into nude smoky looks a lot these days.These add a nice look to face and can be created with many neutral shades.I have been testing Zoeva naturally yours palette and did this look with the same palette.Here are the steps to achieve the look:

1) Prep and prime your lids.

2) Apply a light chocolate brown(soft & sexy) in the crease.This helps in blending of other shades easily.

3)Next,apply a medium brown(sweet sound) shade in the outer lid as well in the inner corner of the eyes.Leave a small area in between as shown in the pic.

4)Now,apply a matte black shade(timeless chic) over the medium brown.It adds intensity to the looks.A small gap is left where we will use another shade.

5)Now,I applied a champagne shade(smooth harmony) in the gap.It isn’t blended as yet.

6)Now,I blended the champagne shade using the same light chocolate brown.It used it to blend the champagne shade with the black shade and in the crease.

7)Next,I used a golden shade to highlight(casual elegance) my brows and in the inner corners of the lid.

8)I used the same matte black and applied it in the outer lower lid.

9) Now,I blended the black shade in the lower lid with chocolate-brown shade which creates a depth.I dont know why it is looking so grey in the pic.I blended it and pulled it towards upwards to add symmetry.

 In this step,I used the medium brown shade and filled my brows..Applied kohl in the waterline as well.

10) Now,I used a  gorgeous peacock green shade to line my eyes,.This step changed the look drastically without looking OTT. Applied mascara.

‘Smoky Berry’-perfect Eye look for the Fall-Step by Step tutorial~~

Christmas & New Years are around the corner and there is so much festivity in the air.Adding to this is the chilling Delhi weather.I generally prefer dark tones for the Fall as they provide a sophisticated look to the face.Berry,burgundy,wine,taupey brown are shades that get the most attention.Whether used on eyes or on lips,these are surely eye-catching shades.

I created a look using berry shade.Here’s the step by step tutorial.Hope you guys like it:

Step 1: Prep and prime your lids.I just applied a concealer for this look.

Step 2: Apply the highlighter shade on the browbone to highlight the same.

Step 3: Next,I applied a transition shade in the crease to help in blending off the darker shade.I used a matte light brown shade.

Step 4: Now,I applied a gorgeous berry shade with sight shimmer on the eye lid till crease leaving the inner corners of the eyes.

Step 5: I applied a light shimmery golden shade in the inner corners of the eyes.It is very light just not to keep that areas empty.

Step 6 : I used a deep burgundy shade in the outer corner to blend the berry shade and took the shade slightly above the crease.

 

 

Step 7: Now ,I used a matte black over the burgundy shade to intensify the look further.(I haven’t blended anything till this point).

Step 8: I blended all the shades in the crease.Here,the transition shade played an important role as it helped in flawless blended without leaving any streaky or harsh lines.

Step 9: I used the same berry shade used on the lids on the lower lash line,highlighted the inner corners of the eyes and defined my brows!

Step 10: Lined the waterline;upper and lower,both.

Step 11: Applied liner,mascara densely!

Subtle Blue-Purple Step by Step Eyelook..

I did this look recently using blue and a touch of purple.It is nice and subtle and looks nice during day as well as for night outs.

The look is really simple and looks very fresh.

Here’s a step by step tutorial:

1)Prep and prime your lids:

2)Apply purple shade in the crease and then blends it upwards.:

3)Now ,I used a metallic blue shade and applied it all over the lid:

 

4)Soften the edges to blends out the purple with the blue:

 

5)Apply some matte brown shade over the blue shade in the outer 1/3rd eye lid to give a slight smoky effect:

 

6)Highlight the brown bone,the inner corners of the eye with a golden shimmery shade.I also applied a bit of glittery silver shade though it isn’t much visible.

 

7)Line your upper and lower waterline using a black kohl.Define brows,next I applied a thick line of shimmery purple liner in the lower lashline.Add mascara and the resultant look:

Duo Chrome Pink & Blue Party Eye Makeup Look-step by step Tutorial~

Hey Girls,

Its been so long that I did an eye makeup look.These days,I am loving blues and pinks combo and came up with this look that is very wearable.It is great for night outs as well as for weddings as the duo chrome pink goes with Indian ethnic wear very well.

The look is really easy and hardly takes 10 minutes.A thick winged liner adds gorgeous oomph to the overall look.Blow are the steps,Hope you all like it and try it!!!

Step 1: Apply a duo chrome pink eye shadow all over your lids.

Step 2: Next,apply a navy blue shade in the crease and blend it with the pink in the crease only.

Step 3: After that ,apply a bright pink shade in the outer corner of the eye and blend t with both the shades to have uniformity.

Step 4: After this,apply the same matte navy blue shade in the outer V area of the eye just after the pink shade to add depth.

Step 5: In the following step,apply a light champagne shade to highlight the brow bone.You can choose matte or shimmery as per your choice.Blend the shade with the blue shade.You can apply a bit extra blue to intensify the crease area.

Step 6: Apply the navy blue shade on the lower outer corner of the eye and the pink shade in the inner corner of the eyes.

Define your brows,apply a thick winged liner.I tried a mixture of winged as well as feline so the result is  a bit different. 😛

I don’t wear black kohl these days so added nude kohl in the waterline.It brightens up the eyes.Apply mascara and the resultant look:
