New Release – Lakmé Absolute POPTINTS

Lakmé, India’s iconic beauty brand is known to innovate continuously and add new products to its repertoire across cosmetics, salon services and skin care. This summer Lakmé brings you a vivacious collection of colour tints to make your lips and nails ‘pop’ in true diva style. The Lakmé Absolute POP TINT collection is a kaleidoscope of bright and happy colours, which captures the spirit and exuberance of the contemporary Indian woman. Turning up the heat a few degrees, bold hues of neons, sorbets and jellies from this limited edition collection represent the style statement for spring/summer 2013 internationally.

Drawing inspiration from this collection, designer Namrata Joshipura will bring these colours to life, taking Pop Tints from skin to silhouette as she presents the grand finale show at Lakmé Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2013. Style diva Kareena Kapoor is sure to turn heads as Joshipura’s showstopper.

Lakmé Absolute POP TINTS, a high performance make-up range, consists of lip tints in shades of summer, including bright orange, vivacious pink and flaming red for that amazing “read-my-lips” pout and nail tints in pastel tones of blue, green and corals.

Speaking at the launch, Purnima Lamba, Head-Innovations, Lakmé said, “Pop Tints are in line with this summer’s colour trends across international runways and we at Lakmé are thrilled to bring the next big fashion statement to India at Lakmé Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2013. We are excited to have Namrata Joshipura who will make a bold Lakmé trend statement by using a pop tinted palette for her grand finale collection.”

Speaking about her collection, Namrata Joshipura, Grand Finale designer for LFW SR 2013 said, “For me, colors play an important role in adding youthful vivacity to the overall look. My show collection pays homage to the contemporary woman, inspired by Lakme’s new trend statement and interpreted through the Lakmé Absolute international collection of Pop Tints. This is a collection which explodes with attitude and will come to life on the ramp at this year’s grand finale of the Lakmé Fashion Week Summer Resort 2013.”

Oriflame Triple Core Lipsticks-Fashion Mauve,Berry Vogue,Catwalk Red review & swatches

WORDS FROM ORIFLAME The world’s first triple core lipstick fusing caring balm, passionate colour and dramatic gloss into one. The result is lips that are softer, more beautiful and more impactful than ever before. With avocado, jojoba oil, chamomile and vitamin E.

PRICE:Rs.429 gor 4gms.

PACKAGING:The packaging is nice and fresh with a flower pattern on white background on the cover. The shade code and name are provided at the bottom of the lipstick. This is a limited edition range else triple core lipsticks have a metallic silver body!

TEXTURE, FINISH & STAYING POWER:They’re called ‘Triple Core’ for the simple fact that they have three different formulas within their layers. The centre  is a lip balm, the middle layer is a glossy shimmery formula for added shine, and the outer layer is the lipstick and pigment.

Now,the texture is really lovely and moisturising. These are incredibly creamy and hydrating.

The finish is opaque so these are great for those who have pigmented lips. The staying power is around 3-4 hours which isnt too bad as these are very hydrating. Also, when the lipstick wears off,my lips remain soft and smooth.

RECOMMENDATION:These are limited edition lipsticks but triple core lipsticks are a part of permanent range. The texture, finish and formula is amazing.Added to it is the floral pattern.I would highly recommend this!!

So,here is the review for my current love!!!

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: Meet the 14HR lipstick that won’t weigh you down.
Super rich colour with super staying power.
No dragging. No drying. No letdowns at all.

PRICE:Rs.525 for 3.3 gm

PACKAGING:I am not really a fan of the packaging although it looks cute and girly but i prefer classy packaging as opposed to the white plastic-y cap and transparent body. The shade name and number are provided at the bottom of the lipstick.

SHADE:Aah,the shade..oh i love this shade. A semi-matte bright coral(vivid)pink.It is more pink than coral.No shimmer.

TEXTURE,FINISH & STAYING POWER:The texture of the lipstick when applied, is creamy but becomes matte after sometime. It is not at all drying neither it is uncomfortable on lips but a lipbalm underneath will definitely help. The texture is slightly thick and the shade is insanely pigmented.

I sometimes, like to use it as a tint on lips which looks adorable. The formula is not bad but not top notch. It can cover up pigmented lips very well. Also, these lipsticks have the tendency to settle in the lip lines and accentuate dry flakey areas of lips.

Staying power is around 7-8 hours after which i could see some unevenness on lips. But i think, the amount of staying power isn’t bad at all although it claims to be 14hr.

These lip shades have sweet candy kind of fragrance that becomes a little overpowering at times.

~pretty bright shade that brightens up my face.

~comfortable matte finish.

~Highly pigmented.

~Decent staying power.

~Great shades in the range that will suit Indian skin tones.

~Thick texture that stays put for a longer period.

~can be used lightly as a tint too.

~i am not a fan of the packaging,it looks flimsy.

~The lipstick settles in the lip lines and accentuate dry flakey areas.

~Although the finish is comfortable matte for me but it can be drying for those having very dry lips.

~highly scented so not for those with sensitive nose.

~It becomes uneven when it starts to wear off.

~transfers to other objects.

RECOMMENDATION:These are not must have lipsticks but i really like the shade and those who like testing new shades or like wearing brighter colours can go for this lipstick.
