PACKAGING:The packaging is indeed classy and Star-like with a black outer body having a red button shaped in between.It is sturdy and travel friendly.Red lipcolor peeping out of black packaging definitely steals attention.
THE SHADE:The shade Pure Rouge is the one selected by Frieda Pinto and she wore it so well.The shade is great for all skin tones specially warmer skin tone.It is simply Pure red..not brown,no orange.The shade is a statement lipcolor and needs no makeup with it.
MY VIEWS:The lipstick glides on easily.I would call it matte but semi-matte as it provides creaminess and some amount of moisture to lips.It isnt overly creamy but nothing like those who accentuate lip lines.It is comfortable to wear and very light weight.The shade itself is very pigmented and one swipe is enough to cover lip pigmentation.However,I do apply a second layer to even out the shade.It doesn’t bled or feather but with such bold shades,you need to be careful in application.The shade stays on and on for about 5-6 hours leaving a strong red-pink stain.
It is a safe bet for brides and those who prefer no-touch lip colors.The shade brightens up my complexion a lot.I love wearing it with a thick winged liner for a retro effect.
