A friend of mine gave a sample of MAC Rise pigment to try out.I have used this a couple of times and here are my views on the same:
ABOUT:Pigment is a highly concentrated loose colour powder that contains ingredients to help it adhere to the skin. Create a subtle wash of colour or an intense effect. Does not streak or cake. Easy to blend and long-lasting. Please note: Pigments are sold by weight not volume. Containers can appear to be less than full due to settling of the product.
PRICE:rs.1250 for 4.5gms jar
PACKAGING:I have a sample of the product. However, the original pigment comes in a small transparent plastic jar with a velvety matte black screw cap which is quite sturdy. There is a small plastic cover inside to protect the pigment from spilling when you open the black cap.The packaging is sturdy.
SHADE:Rose Pigment is a light pink with silver shimmer that provides slight metallic effect to the shade. When used wet,it does give a more intensified and frosted-metallic look.
MY VIEWS:The pigment has a soft and creamy texture. It is easy to apply(tap tap motion) on lids and doesn’t have much fallout. It sticks well on lids when applied over a base or used wet.The silver shimmer present is non-gritty and very subtle. It doesn’t have glitter chunks but soft shimmer. It applies well with other shades as well.Only a small amount is needed for a look.
The shade isn’t too bright not too dull.It can be used for special occasions as well as an all over lid shade(dusted lightly) for daytime wear.It will suit all skin tones. It stays for about 5-6 hours when used over a base. The shade might crease when used wet on oily lids but I never suffered any creasing or fading problem.
I will be doing a look using this pigment and share it with all of you.
RECOMMENDATION: I like this shade as it is subtle and can be used in many looks. It will suit many Indian ethnic wear. The shade isn’t a must have but a decent one to add in your collection.
